This is Laurence Barker, G8NJJ amateur radio home page. This site doesn't contain very much yet. I'm building a useful set of web links in the first instance.

I became a radio amateur around 1977 at age 14. I set about trying to make complete transceivers from scratch, and funnily enough didn't make any that worked. Sometime while at university I drifted away from it. However, an interest in radio had dragged me towards a career in and around RF. Subsequently I've become a designer of electronics and systems related to RF in some way - mostly in the radar field.

I decided to re-enter amateur radio in 2011, mostly to "dabble" wth Software Defined Radio. This site will grow to cover details of where I get to, but it will take time!

Using This Site

Searching

The web site can be searched: type a search term (e.g. "DAC10") into the search box on the right hand side of the header, and hit enter. the search engine will find words matching the search string in the main body of the site, but it won't search attached documents (e.g. the product manuals).

Many articles are displayed one after the other. some are quite short, and say "read more" at the bottom. Click that to read the remainder of the article.
